Overview
Soul Vacation is a wellness retreat brand in Goa offering yoga retreats, detox packages, and destination stays. They needed a WordPress site their team could manage without technical knowledge, maintaining pixel-perfect fidelity to an existing static HTML design. No page builders.
The Challenge
The static HTML design had been built by a designer but never converted to a CMS. The client needed their team to add retreat packages, testimonials, and blog posts independently. The site also needed full SEO structured data, fast load times, and a demo content importer for quick future installations.
Our Approach
We converted the static HTML to a custom WordPress theme in PHP, CSS, and vanilla JS. Six CPTs were registered: Retreats, Experiences, Testimonials, Team Members, FAQs, and Press Mentions. ACF field groups were configured for every CPT. A schema module injected JSON-LD for Organization, WebPage, and Event types. A demo content importer was built using WordPress native WXR format.
