Brand Identity
Logo design, colour palette, typography system, visual identity, and brand guidelines - for startups launching and established businesses that have outgrown their first identity. Delivered in Figma, SVG, PDF, and print-ready formats. We have built identities for FLIQHT, TBH Studios, GrowthSystems, and Impulsebyte itself.
Six signs your brand is working against you.
A weak brand is not just an aesthetic problem. It costs you on every channel - lower ad CTR, lower trust, higher bounce rate, harder sales conversations.
The website has one version, the business card has another, the WhatsApp DP is a blurry JPEG, and the Instagram profile uses a different colour. The brand is fragmented because there was never a system - just a logo file.
It made sense at the time. Now you are pitching enterprise clients, running paid ads, and the logo is a clip-art icon with a generic sans-serif. The brand is telling a story about where you started, not where you are.
Same colour, similar name, similar visual style. When your brand does not have a distinct visual identity, customers cannot reliably recall or refer you. Differentiation is not just a marketing concept - it is brand design doing its job.
The social post uses Poppins, the deck uses Calibri, the website uses Roboto. Three different blues across materials. No brand guidelines means every team member makes their own decisions - none wrong, none consistent.
Same audience, similar offer, but their ad gets clicked more. Brand credibility influences ad performance. A polished, consistent visual identity increases click-through rate before a single word is read.
A new product, a pivot, a spin-off brand. The cost of retrofitting a brand identity after the website, packaging, and marketing materials are built is always higher than getting it right before any of that starts.
Six elements that make a complete brand identity.
A logo is not a brand. A brand is a system - every element defined, every rule documented, every application considered.
Logo Design
Three distinct concepts - different directions, not three versions of the same idea. Each concept includes a primary logo, a compact mark, and a horizontal variant. Two revision rounds on the chosen direction. Delivered in SVG, PNG (transparent), and PDF.
Colour Palette
Primary, secondary, and neutral colour system - with HEX, RGB, and CMYK values for every colour. Contrast ratios verified against WCAG AA for accessibility. Usage rules for each colour - what it is for, what it is not for, combinations that work and ones that do not.
Typography System
Primary and secondary typeface selection - one for headings, one for body. Type scale defined: H1 through H6, body, caption, label. Weights and line heights specified. Google Fonts where possible for web use. Print font alternatives included.
Visual System & Patterns
Supporting graphic elements - icon style, illustration style direction, pattern or texture if appropriate, photography art direction guidelines (subject, mood, colour treatment). The elements that make brand applications look consistent beyond just logo and colour.
Brand Guidelines
A PDF and Figma document covering every element - logo usage rules (spacing, minimum size, forbidden uses), colour rules, typography rules, and do/do-not examples for each. The document your team, agency, or printer needs to use the brand correctly without asking you.
Brand Application Design
Business card, letterhead, email signature, social media profile and cover templates, and presentation deck template - all in brand. Shows how the identity translates across real touchpoints and gives your team ready-to-use templates from day one.
From brand brief to identity system.
Brand questionnaire + 60-minute discovery call. We establish positioning (what you are, who you are for, how you differ), values, tone of voice, and visual direction references. No design starts without this foundation.
Two or three visual direction moodboards presented before logo design begins. You choose a direction. This prevents the most common failure mode in logo design - presenting a finished logo that is going in the wrong direction entirely.
Three distinct logo concepts presented with rationale - not just the artwork but why each decision was made. You select one direction for refinement. Two revision rounds on the chosen concept before finalisation.
Colour palette, typography, and visual system built once the logo is approved. Everything consistent, everything documented. Brand guidelines written last - once every element is defined, so the document reflects what was actually made.
